by Justin Laing on April 25th, 2008.

I was able to resurrect these screen shots of our system from 2004. I think you’ll agree we’ve come along way since then! Note: We were called “BikeSoft” back then instead of MerchantOS. This original system was used in just one store by our intrepid beta tester (er first customer?).

MerchantOS is built to help retailers overcome real world challenges. One of our customers recently wrote us this story about how MerchantOS helped them catch a dishonest employee.

“I don’t want to think of my employees as thieves! Well, my idealistic fantasy was demolished when the opening count came up way short last Monday and all the scrutiny we gave the situation made it abundantly clear that the money had been stolen.”

“Thanks for designing a system with reality in mind.”
