What does “cloud” really mean?

While the term cloud has been used to describe a lot of different technologies in the last few years we think it’s a great description for how MerchantOS “just works.” Just open your browser to access MerchantOS. No more software installations or updates to worry about. You’ll be running on the newest technology from now on. Never pay for another software “upgrade” again. MerchantOS stores your data on our secure cloud hosted in multiple data centers with real-time backups. This means no matter what happens, your data is always safe and available to you when you need it. We have set of fully redundant servers that host the MerchantOS point of sale application and all of it’s related services. While each server has redundant components internally we’ve doubled our insurance by having an exact duplicate of each server so if the primary server fails we can instantly switch over to the backup server. Not only do we have redundant hardware and servers we also have two complete data centers capable of running the MerchantOS system individually.
