The MerchantOS Philosophy
Quite often we hear things like “Is that it?”, “Wow that’s so simple.”, and “Is there something I’m missing?” from prospective customers. At MerchantOS we believe in making things easy and fairness for our customers. Here are some of the main points in our philosophy towards software and our customers.
- We Make Retail Software Easy: When we do anything here at MerchantOS, our company slogan is always on our mind. Not only do we make our software easy, we try to make all elements of how we do business easy. You as a customer will find we have worked hard on making your experience as simple as we possibly can from our support to our software.
- Startup Fees: If we incur little or no cost to get you started, there is no reason to bill you. Often service oriented business charge start-up fees to help a customer become heavily invested in their product offering and less likely to leave. We dissuade you from leaving with great software.
- Contracts: Another tactic many businesses use to lock in a customer is force them into a contractual term of service where the customer would have to pay a huge penalty to stop using the service. Once you enter in to a contract, these businesses are less motivated to help you and your business since they know you’re stuck with them for the contract duration. We want you to know we are always working for you. That’s why we do not force our monthly subscribing customers into any obligation to continue our service longer than the month they already paid for.
- Honesty: When you evaluate our software and speak with us about your needs, you’ll find we are very up front about what our software can and can not do for you. We aren’t in this for a quick sale. We have no contract to keep your around if things don’t work out. If you aren’t a fit with our software we’ll let you know and warn you of any problems you may encounter. Having happy customers is very important to us. Doing our best to let you know exactly what you are getting in to will greatly increase the probability of your satisfaction.
- Retailers know what they need: When this company was founded, we had a lot more exposure to the retail environment and were able to create a great starting point for our software. Now we rely on you to help us make our software better for you. Almost all the updates in our software are in response to customer feedback and careful research of that feedback.
- Real People: We try to empower every one of our employees with the ability to make decisions and give you the help you need. If any one of us can’t help you with your situation, we get you in touch with the person who can.
